Madhu Mahal ~  ~ From delicate and intricate melodic tabla phrases to fast and furious wailing tabla bols with Sarangi accompaniment by Shri Bijoy Mishra, Madhu Mahal is sweet and flowing, sophisticated and powerful. Madhu Mahal is the culmination of almost a decade of study of Indian music, mostly in Kolkata with Pandit Anindo Chatterjee. Recorded live at Shri Ram Studios in Kolkata, India in 2006, Madhu Mahal was funded by the Australia Council for the Arts and the Ian Potter Foundation.
